While the atmosphere is pleasant and the food was generally nice, the overall experience is let down in a few areas. The meals are priced high for a restaurant of this standard. The menu is not always correct to what you end up with on your plate. I pointed this out to the staff and they did not say sorry or anything to make me feel better they just stated that 'Chef is like that sometimes'. Food is a competitive market in this town and I can think of a couple of other places where the dollar can be better spent.

I found this restaurant to yo-yo between the two extremes (good & bad), one occassion the staff are lovely, the food is great, very reasonable time wait for food etc, but then the next time the staff seem they can't be bothered and the food just seems to be slapped together on a plate (or dropped on the floor/spilt over the customer). I don't go there anymore.

I travel from Tauranga to Hamilton every 2nd weekend, mostly on a sunday will call in and have a meal, the staff are very friendly, the food is great and don't have to wait long for meal to arrive, which is a great advantage when travelling
