Best for Desserts in Wellington

So, you're in Wellington and you've got a craving for something sweet. Where can you get a delectable dessert in Wellington? Fortunately, there are quite a few places and several of them are even dedicated to desserts.

Here are a few that take our fancy:

Strawberry Fare

Most people go to Strawberry Fare solely for their dessert menu. It’s exceptionally good food and with over 23 dishes to choose from it’s not hard to see why this restaurant is so popular! Many diners enjoy the Chocolate Madness but if you’re not a fan of chocolate there are plenty of other scrumptiously sweet meals on the menu.

If you haven’t tried the hot chocolate at Scopa then where have you been?! It’s not just a hot drink it’s a dessert in its own right, thick, rich and perfectly chocolaty. An Italian dessert menu is also on offer, with traditional tiramisu, panna cotta and gelato.

Crepes A Go Go

For an authentic taste of France, visit this tiny shop in Manners Mall. Crepes A Go Go whip up crepes to die for. Tuck into a nutella and banana crepe or a macadamia and dark chocolate one and imagine yourself strolling the streets of Paris.

The Library

The very stylish Library  bar has a reputation for its excellent cocktails and the quality of its main menu, but the desserts are top drawer as well. They range from the traditional – bread and butter pudding, served with seasonal fruit and fresh cream, to the traditional with a twist – Earl Grey crème brulee, to the downright decadent – chocolate truffle tart and iced nougat terrine. And, if you and your dining companion can’t decide, there’s always the tasting plate for two!
