Places to eat near Forsyth Barr Stadium Dunedin

Some big Rugby World Cup games are being played at the Forsyth Barr Stadium and there are a number of great restaurants located within a short distance – by taxi or on foot – of the ground.

If you're looking for an historic dining experience then go no further than the Crown Mill. The Crown Mills building has been listed category 1by the Historic Places Trust because of its outstanding Victorian architecture.

If you fancy a quick bite before the game, why not check out Velvet Burger?

The large menu features a range of gourmet burgers with exciting flavour combinations and amusing names and also includes mini-burgers for the smaller appetite.

Angus Restaurant & Bar

The Angus Restaurant and Bar specialises in prime tender Angus beef – the best steak available!

If you’re into steak, this is the place to go to! If you’re not a fan of steak they also have excellent seafood and vegetarian options, plus a kids’ menu. This place is good for groups.
