    VERY expensive, but oh so classy!! We had a delicious meal there, the menu is filled with all sorts of delectables and it's difficult to choose because it all looks so tasty - and it was. A memorably wonderful meal, great location and decor, but the prices made me downgrade the review from 5 star food. A pity, because if the prices were 20% less, we would eat there regularly.

    One of the best places to go in tauranga for a romantic meal. Not your average eatery the place looks and feels italian. The menu does change very often but the classics are always there.

    Well I never thought this day would come after many a wonderful night dining in Volare but we were very dissapointed. The menu has changed and our favourites had been modified. The Bruschetta had been downsized considerably and hey have changed the smoked salmon and caper to chicken Liver Pate. My wife ordered a tomato based dish that comprised of about 6 mussels, a small piece of white fish and garlic bread on top. A meal I would have thrown together as a student for a little over a fiver and this was $36.00 Disgraceful! I understand that there has been a new owner buying in and these changes may be his doing. Luigi needs to put this guy in the cheap Italian eatery around the corner in Wharf Street that he has just opened and come back to Volare URGENTLY. Prior to us leaving, there was another customer clearly a regular that asked for Luigi and sent his food back. I hope that things improve as I was proud to take clients and family there but that will be off the radar until further notice.
