As a supplier to to this cafe i was very disappointed that myself and wife were turned away because we hadn't "booked" a table. This was Mother's Day and I understand that maybe we should have booked but this was 12.45pm and I could see some tables available, I mean, there was only two of us wanting a bite to eat and I'm sure the unhelpful lady who approached us could've fit us in, I would have been happy to have sat on the grass as it was a beautiful day. I pleasantly told the lady that it was fine that she couldn't "fit" us in and we wouldn't be back, we could have been a visitor from Wellington as this cafe is on state highway 50 but we are from Napier so to turn two people away like she did was a huge disappointment. Bummer I wasn't John Key and his wife as I'm sure the staff at this cafe would have bent over backwards for them.
