Tuatua has been here in Whitianga since 2003 run by a Whitianga family with a focus on local produce; products, fresh simple food tapas style dining. Where you can nibble, graze, taste or indulge
We are situated right in the centre of town, just a 5 minute walk from the ferry & ramp; we've got you covered for everything. Stop in for a wickedly good coffee, maybe a house-made cake while doing a bit of shopping. We proudly serve a personalised blend of locally roasted coffee lala & amp; we know how to make a good cup! We have a nice casual set up we cater for breakfast, lunch and; a la carte dinners, a few tapas or just a few drinks. you can sit street side; watch the town pass by, inside in our cosy dining room, or outside in our covered courtyard.
All class distinctions are left at the door of the tasca (tapa house). No man may enter with his vanities, no woman is too fine a lady to drink deeply and; laugh loudly. All in; sundry are just people thirsty for a drink; company, hungry for food and conversation.
Tapas are not merely things to eat, but a way of eating. How Spaniards eat is not a hurried experience though they are known to move from one tasca to another enjoying a few drinks with bites to eat along the way thus making tapas a relaxed social way of eating & drinking. Dining on tapas may encompass merely a snack with drinks through to a combination of dishes making an interesting & substantial meal.
Here we use this simplistic form, creating seasonal cookery gathering the freshest produce of the highest quality.please, relax, take your time, eat, drink and enjoy!
TAKEAWAY SERVICE
Tuatua also offer a full takeaway menu, we also have an off licence wine cellar which means you can also purchase that nice bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal

Brilliant Atmosphere! Awesome meals! I would HIGHLY recommend the Seafood dishes, Tapas & my favorite, the Angus Steak! Cooked to perfection every time! Big Ups Guys

Great food & wine here, you wont be disappointed, also has a great ambience with a relaxed mood, just perfect to top off your saturday night week away in Whitianga!!
