    We ended up at Piccolo as our usual haunt was busy and were pleasantly surprised. Piccolo is a nice sized café which easily caters for bigger groups to comfortably sit together (there were 9 of us). The service was great and we didn’t have to wait long for coffee and food. It wasn’t the cheapest place, but overall we were all happy with our brunch and there was a healthy dose of food envy – Piccolo’s version of Eggs Benedict, with the kumara cakes looked amazing and I was told they tasted as good as they looked! Next time I’ll have to give them a go…
