Great relaxed atmosphere - good pub food (probably a bit higher quality than that to be fair). It's a great spot for a drink and a bit in the sun on a Sunday afternoon as well. Can be a bit quiet at times, a feeling which can be exaggerated by the large space inside. But overall it's enjoyable - an I highly recommend the Speight's Pilsner. Only place I know you can get it!

The perfect place to enjoy a quiet drink with friends on a Sunday afternoon. You should not expect restaurant grade food here, the Cardrona is, as the name says, an Ale house. The 'pub' type snacks are fantastic

Have had lunch at Cardrona Ale House in Mt Eden and wasn't all that impressed with food. It's a pub meal, good portions but nothing to write home about.

As a southern boy at heart, I love Speight's - add to the fact I grew up in Central Otago, being able to enjoy Speight's in an environment that's so close to my heart, in the middle of Auckland ... just great. Having worked for Lion Nathan we had a number of launch events at the Cardrona - what a blast, heaps of fun, lovely beer and solid food

nice pub. friendly staff - you can book out the back section which is very big and has a small bar to keep distance from the other punters. There is a extremely large outdoor area for smokers. Huge TV's to watch sports!
