The service is friendly and it is nice to sit indoors by the fire on a cold winters day. The food is OK but overpriced. Would go to the Empire for a beer and some hot chips but get a meal elsewhere.

An Auckland institution, vastly improved since the garden bar area was upgraded a few years back. An excellent choice for after-work drinks.
