Welcome to The Mexican Cafe, Auckland's favourite authentic Mexican restaurant where you'll find the best margaritas in town! A lively, colourful and eclectic atmosphere can be found at The Mexican Cafe in Central Auckland. Since 1983, the restaurant has built up a reputation for serving the best margaritas and Mexican food in Australasia.
Happy hour: discounted drinks and nibbles from 17.00 to 19.00 every night of the week.
Live Latin music Mondays 7:30pm and DJ King Salsa on Fridays 11pm FREE ENTRY!
Bookings recommended for large groups of eight or more people.

Good service and nice atmosphere but food very bland - no seasoning except for chilli - so you can have it super spicy but the rest of the meal doesn't taste of everything.

Visited on a Thursday night and the place was buzzing. Great friendly service with very onto it staff. Food nothing overly innovative but the usual favourites done well. Definately worth a visit.

Great food, great staff and great atmosphere. This place was quite busy when I was there on a Saturday night so was quite noisy so may not be somewhere to go for a romantic candle-lit dinner. A great place to go with friends for a catch-up :)
