Our Philosophy

Our Product
Altura coffee is fresh roasted daily at our Albany premises, in North Shore City, Auckland. Small controlled batches are carefully prepared and blended. (One of the companys' bean roasting machines can be viewed inside Cafe Altura, adjacent to our new purpose-built factory and distribution centre.
In the Cafe, trained Baristas (espresso coffee makers) are always on hand to make sure you get your espresso, exactly the way you want it.
Almost without exception the world's finest Arabica coffee grows at high altitude. Altura is Spanish for height and since only the best coffee is grown at high altitude, we at Altura select only these highest quality beans for your enjoyment.

We visited here for brunch over the weekend. We have been coming here off and on over 2 years. The one thing I love about the place is the consistancy of the food. The food is always extremely good quality and despite a packed restaurant we were served very quickly and did not have to wait a long time for the meals to arrive. The food was excellent and tasty. There is a huge variety on the menu. A place I would definately come back to time and time again

The restaurant does package their own coffee beans and the whole place is about their coffee and is very noisy with the machines grinding the beans constantly! The food is OK, but who can enjoy eating it when the ambiance is so noisy!! One Sunday we were there with another couple and seated at the only table available next to a table of 12 with 3 families all with little children who were running around - NO conversation for us that time either!!!
