I have been to this establishment a few times and found it very nice, the meals are to die for, i specially love the steak meal, where as my husband loves the pork meal, the service is excellent and very friendly, so sorry to hear about Favetrader's experience, but i can tell you now if you go back now you will not be disappointed.

Sorry to hear about Favetrader's bad experience. The Bar & Grill is now under new ownership (since October 2009) and would welcome you revisiting our establishment to restore your faith and confidence. Brian and Nicole

I have had a very bad experience at this establisment and will not be going back there. I recently went there for a drink after work to catch up with an old friend from Tauranga, whilst buying drinks I asked to also get $20.00 out on eftpos of which I did not receive however I did not realise this till about 10-15 mins after sitting down. When I brought it to the person who served me's attention she said she would go check the camera footage and would be back soon, I had her return to the table twice with excuses then on the final time she said she had spoken to the manager & I would have to return the next day after cashing up to get my money back. As I was working I rung the next day I spoke to the manager who said the camera footage showed The bar lady giving me something back & that there till balanced perfectly, His staff were 100% honest And that there was nothing else he could do. I was unhappy with this outcome so went down during my lunch hour to see Mike the manager(as far I was concerned the onus of proof should have been on them)He then implied in no uncertain terms That I WAS THE ONE TRYING TO RIP THEM OFF (this much effort to gain $20.00, I don't think so)When I asked to see the camera footage he refered to during our telephone conversation, He told me that the camera actually showed nothing as it was faulty & would stop, start and freeze, Funny how his story changed. IT IS NOW NOT ABOUT THE $20.00 BUT THE PRINCIPLE. It has also left my out of town visitor unimpressed with this establishment.
