    Having been to Lone star several times in Newmarket and Rotorua I expected the same great food & efficient service. But was bitterly disappointed when we went to Victoria St Hamilton branch at 6pm on Sunday evening with out two girls. (Before the evening rush!!) The waitress was great at sorting out the kids with colouring in pictures & gluten free menu options (all good) but where they fell down was with the service. I had to ask for water, no salt & pepper on the table. Our main meals took ages so we had to follow those up (the kids meals were fine and prompt) My main came with the sauce all over the fish, having specifically requested it on the side & my partners steak was barely edible. When we went to pay they just took the drinks off the bill. Come on guys, sort it out!! You won't see us back again!!

    Not the resturant for a quite romantic setting, but if you are with a group then ideal! Great food, huge portions for a reasonable price. You always know that yhou will get quality food when you order a lone star meal. Very friendly and professional staff, and nice booth seating so you can see and talk to everyone you are with

    Family friendly restaurant. I personally did not think this restaurant was amazing as I'm vegetarian and most of the meals consisted of meat. However the theme is very cute, and is carried out throughout the entire restaurant - right down to the meals. I've had better meals, but if you're looking for a great steak or ribs, Lone Star is the place to go.
