    I visited this restaurant with a party of 11. The food tasted great, however the meal was soon ruined shortly after we began eating. There were a number of small things off about the meal. Firstly, the naans that we ordered were all burnt. Secondly, we ordered two of the same dish that looked and tasted very differently. Thirdly, the food took more than 45 minutes to arrive to our table, which is understandable for busy restaurants, but this place was empty, except for us. Lastly, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, we found 5 Hairs in at least 2 of our dishes before we decided that we did not want to eat anymore. The hairs were black, and honestly looked like PUBIC HAIR. It was revolting. After eating so small amount of our meal, we balked at the thought of paying the high prices for contaminated food. We were reasonable however and chose to talk to the staff. We showed them the hair and told them of all our other complaints. Basically they called us liars, and brought out a brush with long slim and pale yellow coloured strands. They gave this as a reason for the hair. We were flabbergasted. We expected an understanding response, but instead they were not going to own up, but rather try to convince us that black pubic hair was in fact from a brush. When they realized that we wouldn't be fooled by their weak response, they then offered to take off the price of the two dishes from our order They basically wished us to trust that there were no more hairs in the other food. Of course by this time the meal was ruined, but we settled on paying half the bill including the two hair dishes. We order 10 dishes total yet ate less than a quarter of our meal. As a New Zealander I am embarrassed at the thought of tourists coming to our country and experiencing something similar

    I visited Taupo recently with a group of friends and we placed our order on-line use the facility on the website. We selected the delivery option. We received confirmation of our order to the email address we had provided when we placed the order. We ordered early in the evening and were surprised when the food had not arrived over an hour later. So wetelephoned the restaurant to find out when our delivery was expected. To our surprise we were informed that 1) The restaurant couldn't deliver tonight 2) Despite the fact that our order had been placed online AND we had received email confirmation, the restaurant had not, in fact, received the order!! It is extremely frustrating for a restuarant to provide an online ordering option that clearly isn't working at all! We were so disappointed by this ridiculous service that we ordered our meals from Master of India instead. They delivered within half an hour and all of the meals were excellent, and I believe were better value.

    My daughter and I dined at this restaurant 2 nights ago. the service was friendly and efficient. The food was melt-in-the-mouth delicious. We are both indian food fans and this was by far the best food we've ever had, it was wonderful. The decor was really nicely done. The prices were very reasonable. Thank you for a lovely meal.     My partner and I got takeaways from here. After an initial stumble over the language barrier over the phone order, I was thoroughly inpressed. When I walked into the restaurant to pick up the meal, I was flooded with the wonderful ambience of the place and the many happy faces. It made me wish that I had chosen to dine in - though there weren't actually any tables left. The waiting staff were extremely pleasant and efficient bringing out my order. The meal was superb - just delicious! I would definately eat here again when I am next in Taupo.
