Welcome to Finc Dining Room
Finc dining room is a unique space that has retained some of the history in Wellington. The building was built in 1935, with the facade still exhibiting the original features of the era, but the interior now houses apartments above.
Finc ('food incorporated') has kept the old features of the ground level space with the high studs and the original old mosaic tiles and furnished it with long banquet seating and bentwood chairs. It's cosy, comfortable feel makes it a great place to relax between the Lambton quarter and Courtenay Place.
The food is varied, cafe style fare from early morning offering counter food and a breakfast brunch menu to a fully licensed lounge bar and dining room in the evening, offering an al a carte menu.
Finc is a fantastic venue for pre concert dining with its location opposite the Town Hall and the Michael Fowler centre. In the weekend it's a great place to relax and have brunch or high tea on a Sunday with a stroll down to the water front later, or a shop around the Cuba Street area.

Have had breakfast here once -- the ricotta and blueberry pancakes. Amazing!! Best breakfast I've ever had. Very tasty, gourmet and filling. Service was great -- unobtrusive. Atmosphere was nice, we had our own little booth which kept the noise out. Would love to come back for lunch or dinner sometime

I never like to review a place badly if I have only been there once, so I tried this place again and the same problem. The service is very poor. First time, we waited over 40 minutes for our breakfast and 2nd time we were forgotten about and had to order at the counter. Food is so-so. I definitely don't think our breakfast was worth $45 (for two), the flavours were bland. Really nice cafe for coffee and cake but meal wise, not recommended.

Interesting food and great atmosphere. The food at Finc always strikes me as slightly unconventional or experimental, however I always enjoy it, and when friends or family come to visit this is where I take them.
