Finc dining room is a unique space that has retained some of the history in wellington.
the building was built in 1943, with The facade still exhibiting the original features of the era, but the interior now houses apartments above.
Finc ('food incorporated') has kept the old features of the ground level space with the high studs and the origonal old mosiac tiles and furnished it with long banquet seating and bentwood chairs. It's cosy, comfortable feel makes it a great place to relax between the lambton quarterand courtney place.
The food is varied, cafe style fare from early morning offering counter food and a breakfast brunch menu to a fully licensed lounge bar and dining room in the evening, offering an al acarte menu.
In the weekend it's a great place to relax and have brunch or afternoon tea with a stroll down to the water front later, or a shop around the cuba street area.

This is a great cafe! I had the asian bowl which was fantastic and full of flavour. The staff were friendly and knew exactly what they were doing. My friend brought along his 1 year old son who was able to hang out there no problems....although they did not have a change station in the toilets. I also liked the bottle of wine in the paper bag. You get a bottle of wine about $10 cheaper than your normal bottle but the catch is that it comes in a brown paper bag so you cannot tell what it is. A novel way to shift older stock!

Fantastic service, well informed friendly staff; especially liked the variety on the menu and prices were pretty good for the quality. Been here for lunch also and entertained clients, different from our evening experience, again a consistently well informed friendly crew!
