Situated in upmarket West Lynn, Malt's contemporary and much praised interior decor reflects New Zealand's pioneer heritage - with painstakingly restored natural kauri floorboards and walls, comfortable leather banquette seating, and a modern library-like lounge setting in front of a roaring natural wood fire.
Outdoors under a unique louvered roof which opens and closes with the changing of the seasons, Malt proudly exhibits a fully enclosed and decked area featuring a focal-point natural wood fireplace and glowing gas heaters to create a hot house effect for those chillier winter evenings. In summer, seating on the deck at Malt is at a premium as guests reminisce about hanging out at their favourite beach resort.
