Originally opened in 1886 as the Mt Eden Post Office this wonderful building was transformed into De Post Belgian Beer Cafe in 2000. The interior, fully imported from Belgium, offers an authentic European feeling across two bar areas & a sunny outside balcony.
We proudly serve authentic Belgian cuisine complimented by an extensive selection of fine Belgian beers & some of the best wines from NZ & Australia. We recommend you try our signature steaming mussel pots and famous mussel platters.

One of my favourite restaurants, great food, staff and atmosphere. The only tiny thing is that the upstairs seating can be cramped sometimes, but not a huge issue. I love this place so much I booked it for my sisters wedding shower and they made an amazing varity of finger food and cleaned up all the mess for me after. If you are in need of a venue for any type of function I recommend De Post highly!
