    Continues to be a great Gastro pub for either just a pint or a great meal as well. Food service can be slow though so be prepared for a bit of a wait - but nothing outrageous. Highly recommended if you're in the Ellerslie area

    Nice to have another option in Ellerslie. The pizzas are good value and I'd recommend the linguni. The service can be a bit hit and miss. The owner is super friendly - I was stoked with my free drinks for being the Foursquare mayor and for it being my birthday.

    the new lunch menu is reasonably priced with good range of food. they have good woodfire pizzas try to aim to go on Mondays where it's 2 for 1 pizza day. however last time we went there was a 45min wait on pizzas due to the special. Do check your receipt before u pay tho as everytime i went for the pizza special i had to remind them the pizzas should be half price. i would've given it 4 stars if they had more than just macs beers on tap.

    Went for friday night dinner, ordered a drink first, staff all looked miserable, found a seat in a room to the side, went through the very limited menu and ordered at the bar. A girl came out and with side plates and salt & pepper. 5 minutes later a guy game out and said we couldnt sit there (No reserved signs or anything) & moved us inside to the end of a leaner & then got snarky about going back to get the salt & pepper. The food came out and the $23 berger was nothing special, the brushetta was great (always hard to get wrong) but the Shrip was inedible. The coment of one staff member was the best of the night "Were not realy a Resturant" sums it all up. Nice place badly run, wont be back.

    The Post House is an eatery where we can go with our family and there is a great range of options. Also good for dinner and drinks night out with friends. Relaxed and friendly and good service.

    I've had lunch here 3 times now. The first two visits were not great. Visit 1 = very bad stomach afterwards (sure you don't need the detail!). Visit 2 = hour long wait for food when a group of 8 of us arrived on a fairly quiet weekday for lunch. One of our group didn't get his meal until after we had all finished our meals. No refund or discount offered to him, which was disappointing. Visit 3 was good - we had a huge group booked for Friday lunch and pre-ordered well before our arrival to minimise delay or confusion.

    Had such a good time here on Friday night! Started with a quick after work drink and liked it so much we stayed for dinner. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly and the atmosphere perfect to celebrate the weekend! Thanks Post House, we're definately coming back soon.

    Great food, great space, nice atmosphere, but somehow something doesn't quite fit. It's kind of a pub but more sophisticated, with fine dining offer. It definitely is the place for drinks with work mates, but not the kind of place I would go for dinner. In that respect, it's potential is underutilised. I find the lunch menu a little bit pricey for team lunches, hence we stick to drinks mainly. I would suggest cater for work functions with special offers and greater variety on the lunch menu with ‘toned down’ options at the bar side.

    Food is great, service not so much so unfortunately! Our last two work lunches there (even with pre-ordering our meals) somehow they still managed to have 1 person's dish come well after everyone else had finished their meals. To The Post House’s credit though on the first occasion they gave a 50% discount for the guy whose meal came late and on the second occurrence the meal was free.

    Nice place to go for a work lunch, the pizza's are very tasty. Although, if you are dining for lunch with a big group its an idea to ring through your order first. Lunch is a busy time.

    Have to say, the standard here as dropped. The waitresses all seem to have an attitude, they often get the orders and billing wrong. Very disappointing. The pizzas are still good though!

    nice place to hangout after work to chill-out and enjoy drinks indoor or outdoor! it's pretty pack too on every Fridays! As for Lunchtime service, it is very very slow! went there for lunch with a bunch of colleagues and ended up all of us late for more than an hour back to office!

    Not overly impressed with the service received at Post House. We visit here often due to our office located nearby - and because Post House are renowned for slow service we pre-ordered our meals 1.5 hours before arriving. Despite this they still managed to completely forget one order which arrived about 45 minutes after everyone else. The same thing happened two weeks ago as well so it's kinda shocking really. Think it's time to pull your socks up fellas.

    A good choice if you find yourself among the Ellerslie shops. It's the default place for us who work in the area. I always have the small margherita pizza, so I can match it with a pint of Guinness. They also have a nice salad with big chunks of yummy buffalo mozzarella. Food is consistent, but you will have to allocate time to wait for it to come out of the kitchen. Not a place if you’re rushing and tight on time, but it’s a good place to have a leisurely lunch with friends.

    We went on a Friday night, the bar was busy but the dining area wasn't full. It still took about 20 minutes to receive our meals. The meals were ok, thought they were quite small for a pub meal.
