Built in 1874 this charming, fully licensed hotel has been tastefully restored, providing its patrons with a warm friendly atmosphere.
The hotel is just a 15 minute scenic drive from central Dunedin city. Five minutes stroll from the seaside township of Port Chalmers, and 5 minutes drive to the sandy beach settlements of Aramoana, and Long Beach.
Restaurant dining at the Carey(TM)s Bay Hotel is available Monday to Thursday from 11am-3pm and Friday to Sunday from 11am- 9pm. We accept large group bookings for dining outside these times and also have an extensive blackboard bar menu available from 3pm until close, 7 days a week.

Sandraarm
We had our sons graduation dinner there, and I would like to say its well worth the drive down there. The meal was delicious. The girl that served us was very friendly and obliging. The atmosphere was awesome. I especially loved the desserts and would highly recommend eating there.

Went here for lunch after being recommended. Great setting and my fish pie was succulent and generous in size. Only fly in the ointment was the waitress forgetting to bring an ordered starter. Art work on the walls mainly by local artists is well worth a visit alone. Would certainly return.
