Nestled in St Mary's Bay, 'The Dining Room' at Mollies is one of those little secrets businessmen are reluctant to tell colleagues, taxi drivers discuss in hushed tip expectant tones and every gorgeous character that walks in or out could be an opera singer, an elusive celebrity, a corporate looking for seclusion or a well maintained mistress.
Usually the reserve of hotel guests and those in the know - the secret is now out -

'The Dining Room' is now available and open to the public and is providing a second-to-none romantic dining experience!

At the same time Mollies is dispelling the word out on the street that 'The Dining Room' is for hotel guests only. You and I are being offered the opportunity to experience, what international tourists have come to love and rave on about.

The romanticism, elegance and simplicity of this boutique hotel's dining room is what makes it so unique.

'We want to be able to provide the public with another canvas for dining. It's the candles, flowers and the OTT (over-the-top) attention to detail that is our point of difference in the Auckland dining scene.     We dined at Mollies last night - our second visit and with new owners. Unfortunately the experience was incredibly disappointing. On our first visit, we were greeted with champagne, an opera singer and a beautiful conservatory to dine in with dim lights and an incredible atmosphere. Last night, we were shunted into a tiny room with no view whatsoever, the service was non existent and I had to ask for the wine list to be presented to me. The food was excellent although the choice was minimal having only two choices of entre, main and dessert. There was no atmosphere, no music, and with a price tag of $175.00 for two meals and a bottle of wine, I would have expected much more. We were also not informed of a private function on that evening. Overall very disappointing and we will not be back. Ther

    A luxury dining experience! With an opera recital and grand piano playing while we had pre-dinner drinks the atmosphere was magic. The food exquisite and service second to none! Would totally recommend Mollies for a very memorable occasion.

    Mollies Boutique Hotel is truly exquisite! I was invited to a cocktail evening there and to have a look around the rooms and facilities and I can honestly say that it meets the highest expectations. I have travelled to many countries and stayed at many beautiful places and Mollies is equal to the best in the world as well as having a friendly intimate atmosphere. Staff are accommodating and friendly and this charming boutique Hotel has been in the same family for generations. If you get a chance, stay there! Then come here and tell me I was right! :)
