We have been to Chantellinis a total of 3 times. We came across it on a day trip to Hanmer and had afternoon tea. It was sublime. Needless to say we went back for dinner on our next trip to Hanmer and that was delicious as was the next time. Their service is friendly professional each time without fail and the surroundings and food are just wonderful. Needless to say we will be back! I have told many people about this restaurant and those who have been have been equally impressed. Tracey and Mate Christchurch

I have been a fan of Chantellinis since they first opened, and every time I am lucky enough to go back, I am reminded why this is one of the best restaurants around, period. The staff are fantastic, right from greeting you and taking your jacket (which they hand back to you at the end of the night and seem to have remembered exactly which one was yours!!), to sitting in the most gorgeous building, I am sold from that. But then the menu and wine selection, which they seem to change out with the seasons (amazing!), surpasses all restaurants in the area. My favourites are the beef or lamb for the mains, but who can pass up escargot or a French dessert either? I really recommend this restaurant, it is great for if you are celebrating something (they give you a candle and write "Happy Birthday" on your dessert plate in chocolate!), or if you are like me and appreciate fine food and service, this is definitely the choice for you. Great job Chantellinis, can't wait to visit you again soon.

My wife and I went to Chantellinis for diner for her birthday and we were extremely satisfied with everything. Service was impeccable and the food delicious. We had the crayfish bisque and the escargots as entrees, followed by a beef filet with gratin dauphinois and venison for my wife. A bottle of delicious Muddy Water Pinot Noir 2009 to go with dinner, and for dessert we had the platter which was the best desserts we have ever had... The atmosphere is great and the owners are just so nice. Absolutely recommend it.
