Tip Siam is an impressive fine dining Thai restaurant in Takapuna, Auckland's North Shore City. Handy to the well-known Takapuna beach and active central, Tip Siam offers an impressive array of Thai delicacies in surroundings to match. It's formal but welcoming and the menu is distinctive.
The food, presented by an experienced chef, is a perfect combination of sweet, sour, salty, spicy and skill. We gave special attention to four dishes. Ped Tip Siam, a delighting dish combined with a great variety of taste.
It consists of finely sliced roasted duck with aromatic herbs, topped with Tip Siam's unique sweet chilli sauce, as well as pineapple, grape, cashew nuts and coriander, all served on a sizzling hot plate.
Choo Chee Scallop, is fresh scallops and ground peanuts which are cooked in a red curry paste, coconut milk and served with broccoli. It is a must for curry lovers. Pla Tom Yum Ta Klai Krop exclusively presents the Thai's famous Tom Yum dish in a special way. It comes with a whole deep fried snapper, topped with deep fried crunchy coriander served separately with Tom Yum soup in order to keep the crunchiness of the deep fried fish and sweet chilli. Eating them all together, you will notice how well the combination of flavours marry.
And last but not least, Gai Tod Tip Siam, the deep fried chicken breast stir fried with Tip Siam sweet sauce and topped with macadamia nuts is superb. As with the rest of the food in this fine restaurant, there is no way else to describe the food.
Also, perhaps just as important as the food, you will find Khun Tip the lady proprietor of the restaurant and her staff are extremely hospitable. As we were leaving, both sated and taste buds still tingling, they gave us a little Thai fragrant garland as a souvenir to add to our perfect night.

Fabulous restaurant and great food.Service was outstanding. The decor and crockery is really beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there.

We just love this place. Discrete table staff to go with lovely Thai cuisine. Best Thai weekend dinning around.
