Smith and McKenzie Chophouse appears to be a combination of a traditional American Butchers with that of a modern Restaurant. The hanging lights were once butchers hooks, the bar surface has butchers blocks built into the design, and interior is somewhat reminiscent of a meat locker.
You might be thinking that this is rather creepy but it all comes together to create a warm and dynamic dining venue.
You can turn up for a few drinks accompanied by bar snacks, or stay for the whole dining experience. Primarily a steakhouse, Smith & McKenzie take care to ensure their steaks are of the highest quality and cooked to utter perfection.

If you like beef highly recommend the signature dish. Shrimp cocktail was classical.

Went the other day for a work function. The place is awesome although a little crowded. Staff were lovely too. Meals and drinks though were very over priced. Ordered the chicken salad and it was more 2 bits of chicken and 3 sprigs of lettuce! House wine too was very expensive.
