The Boat Shed Cafe and Kayaks have long been a hidden gem of the mighty Waipa.
A stunning hill side landmark converted into 2 business the Kayak Hire center; a place you can hire a Kayak and explore beautiful Lake Karapiro or join one of the tour groups tailored to highlight some of the areas beautiful sites with your own local guide!!
We have showers on site so after you've been out on the water working up an appetite why not join us at the Boat Shed Cafe for something simple and tasty with a Rocket coffee !
The Boat Shed Cafe re launched under new management as of the 27th of October 2010 is one not to be missed, Kate Shick and Renee Kruger (ex hydro-majestic / ruby blacks Hamilton) this will be the local spot to put on your watch list.
With ample space for the kids to play easy access to the beautiful Lake Karapiro not to mention the views straight from the Cafe this is a great spot to watch the World rowing Championships either looking directly at the lake or on or screen.
