Very nice ambience, good service, attentive and knowledgeable. Entree: Manuka Smoked Eel with Canadian scallops. The eel was good though it seemed to be pressed or processed. My bias is smoked with the skin still on, but that is an aesthetic thing, flavour was good. Canadian Scallops Big and Bland not so impressed with them. Pipis or tuatuas would have provided a better flavour mix I think. Main: Roast Eye Fillet (Blue). Not a lot to say, simply stunning. Dessert: Affogatto again stunning. Wine was excellent and reasonable. Half a star off just for the Scallops. Will definitely be returning.

Great setting, v french bistro but with eclectic touches. Casual service but efficient (all questions about food and wine given immediately confidently and accurate). Limited menu and probably felt a little wintery for summer but there is options of bar food and entrees which we liked. The food was fantastic, great value. I love they had a simple dish of fresh sardines and had a perfectly cooked lamb rack. Simple flavourfull accompaniments. Churros (not really french bistro was a little disappointing) but the basil pannacotta was beautiful. Will definitely go back.
