The Blue Elephant Thai Restaurant has been created by Karen and Wayne who enjoy working in hospitality with an emphasis on satisfying their customers. We do not feel we are just another ordinary Thai Restaurant and that is why we like to label our restaurant innovative and authentic. Our name comes from the fact that we are in the elephant house building in the heart of Parnell, Auckland.
Our wish is that everyone who visits us enjoys great food, a happy atmosphere and fantastic service.

Karen and Wayne were the perfect hosts; friendly and accommodating. The service was prompt, the menu easy to read and had plenty of options. We were able to get good info on the dishes - everything from ingredients, to the geographical area they come from. The food was AMAZING, and certainly not the same ol' same ol' Thai food. Pricing was very reasonable considering where they are and the quality of the food. Definitely food/service from the heart, so we will be back.

What a find! love the food especially the spicy steamed seafood and the entrees are tops .Heaps of dishes you don't see elsewhere, I love the aroy dee herb wraps with prawn. A nice range of wines at reasonable prices, again things you don't see elsewhere much.Plenty of good NZ wine, Yea! It is a very cosy and friendly atmosphere, very peaceful. Well worth a visit. Well done folks.
