Turanga Creek Vineyard 's first vintage, a Pinot Gris and a Late Harvest Viognier, was released at the end of 2008. The wines made by Rod McDonald, NZ Winemaker of the Year 2006, won medals at the 2009 Royal Easter Show Wine Awards. The Cellar Door has been open to the public for wine tastings and sales since May 2009.

The Cellar Door was formed from the original stables which date back nearly 80 years. Now renovated with a French influence the Cellar Door space is open for tastings and wine sales. There is a range of wine related merchandise available for purchase from quality glassware to non-drip wine pourers. Handy accessories that also make fabulous gifts, we can even gift wrap for you.

Turanga Creek is a working vineyard currently converting to Organics and Bio Dynamics, and has something for everyone with wine tastings and leisurely games of petanque on the newly laid pitch. Come and relax with friends and family on the patio overlooking the vines.

Enquire about using Turanga Creek as the venue for your next event. Gather a group of friends together for a tasting evening and learn more about wine, or let us help you organise your wedding in the vineyard. We can host nearly anything, from product launches to private parties.
