    Big improvement on some of the other pubstyle bars in the district. 5 visits and always cheerful and friendly staff, well cooked and generous food (particularly the fish and chip meal). Great you can choose a nice quiet spot or more towards the crowd.

    Hats off !!! Republic Restaurant is great in atmosphere & Food. Even the kids were enjoying. So there is a different environment & the food particularly was excellent. Thanks to All the staff & the kitchen management for making our evening worth coming again. I will recommend to others to come with family & friends. Cheers!

    Last night my partner took me out for my b/day dinner, first time out in bout 2 years with out our kids. The night started out really good we ordered our food then we got told that the ribs I wanted were not ready until after 7pm. Our starters came we got the buffalo wings that were just mini wings,then our main, they were ok but we sat for 15 min after fin our main with our dishes on our table, I had to go ask if someone can give us a menu and clear our table. Then we got told they were out of the tarts and it was the thing I wanted, but to be out of some thing and it wasnt even 8pm or busy. So we didnt stay for dessert. So over all we were not happy with this place and wouldnt tell anyone else to go there.

    I always enjoy going here with my sister to have a nice relaxing drink and catch up - the bar snacks are great here and friendly staff and atmosphere

    Great place to meet for after work drinks, probibly the classiest bar in Manukau, food is great and quick to come out, great set up and helpful staff !! Worth a visit !
