Blood-red coloured earthenware and platters compliment the stylish, relaxed atmosphere of Plate. Located on the ground floor of Holiday Inn Wellington, is quickly becoming a food landmark in its own right, with its luxurious, intimate, retro-chic interior, created by top restaurant designer Tom Skyring.
Inspired by Head Chef Gerald Baahs Sous chef Yogesh Shetty has written a recent new creative menu and has worked together with our Supervisor Bobbie Taitimu to match wines with each dish. Their creativity and knowledge is feeding through within the kitchen and restaurant team.
Weekly menu tastings and reviews of dishes ensure a high standard and great presentation with input from both sides of the pass. The use of fresh and local produce enhance the flavours of our dishes and supporting local suppliers is important to us.
Both Bobbie and Yogesh have vast experience in their respective areas and are always keen to go beyond our guests expectations. When visiting Plate restaurant you will be sure to see Yogesh talking to guests about his dishes and get their feedback.
