Here at the Ortega Fish Shack you’ll find everyday fish ‘n chip shop favourites alongside the likes of jerk salmon, pan-fried prawn tails and big eye tuna sashimi. It’s one of Wellington’s most unique seafood restaurants.

Not a seafood restaurant in the strictest sense, The White House Restaurant nonetheless serves up some immaculate seafood dishes such as pan-roasted market fish, crab raviolo, seared scallops and, when the season is right, bluff oysters.
Another Wellington fine-dining restaurant that does an excellent plate of seafood, Martin Bosley’s menus are jam-packed with kai moana dishes. Highlights include diamond shell clams, green shell mussels, oysters, fish la plancha with squid ink gnocchi and ‘steakhouse fish’ with buttermilk fried onion rings and a béarnaise sauce.
