There may be no such thing as a free lunch – but at Di Vino Bistro in Parnell you can have a very cheap one. Drop in during the working week for a $15 lunch special, which includes a pasta entrée or half pizza with green salad, a juice or small coffee. It’s available from 11.30am to 2pm.
Feel like pizza? Order four takeaway pizzas from Gina’s Italian Kitchen in central Auckland and only pay for three (orders must be placed before 7pm).
Meanwhile, checkout Gina’s $12 espresso lunch menu – including pizza, pasta and healthy salads, served to you as quickly as humanly possible. Buon appetito!
Want a gourmet pizza without paying gourmet prices? Grab two large pizzas from Select Pizza in Manukau and pay only $10 – or make it a meal deal by throwing in a garlic bread and 1.5L soft drink for just $20.
O’Ryan’s $15.50 lunch special includes a great meal with a complimentary beverage, and it’s available Monday to Friday from 11.30am to 2.30pm. It also has happy hour drink specials every day of the week from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
Spend less time in the kitchen and more time at Indian Kitchen in Herne Bay, where you can take your pick of any curry, with rice, naan and a drink for just $10.99 for lunch – or check out the vegetarian banquet for two for $25.

How does pizza or pasta sound for lunch? Check out Covo’s $10 lunch special on all mains, Monday to Friday. This amazing restaurant special is only available at Covo’s Fort Street restaurant in central Auckland.
One of the kings of restaurant specials, Gables Speight’s Ale House on Jervois Road has an express lunch that features two main courses and a house wine or tap beer for $25, seven days a week from 11am until 3pm. It also boasts half-price cocktails on Thursday and Friday nights from 5pm-9pm.
