Celebrate what’s great about autumn, roast pork, apples, cider and much more, at the Christchurch Autumn Festival 2012.
The Pork, Apple and Cider Feast runs from 6:30pm to 11:00pm on Friday the 27th of April
The chefs at Riccarton House Bistro have crafted a delectable four course set menu which celebrates these humble ingredients.
The menu, priced at $55 per person, consists of:
• Pork and pistachio terrine with cider braised onion relish and sourdough
• Pork hock salad with bitter leaves, local walnuts, cider mustard vinaigrette and apple reduction
• Crispy skin pork belly with parsnip puree, celeriac remoulade and apple aioli
• Tarte tatin with Granny Smith apple sorbet and vanilla bean ice cream
All of the ingredients are locally sourced, coming from the Christchurch Farmers Market. The pork is free range and the apples organic.

There will also be master classes from Christchurch Farmers Market apple supplier Ashley River Organics, Cassels Brewery, makers of the popular Eve's Cider and local master of Mediterranean and Greek cooking, Nick Mavromatis.
An artisan market on the Sunday (the 29th of April) completes the festival. Riccarton House Bistro will also be serving a Sunday roast featuring pork belly and assorted farmers' market vegetables.
