Marlborough Wine & Food Festival 2013

Culinary superstar Al Brown and three MasterChef winners are among the big names attending this year’s Marlborough Wine and Food Festival.

The annual food festival, which will be held at the Brancott Vineyard on 9 February 2013, will boast more top chefs than ever before, as well as more entertainment and a greater emphasis on locally produced food and wine.

Festival goers can learn from live cooking demonstrations by some of New Zealand’s top chefs – including Brown, a former Wellington chef of the year and the man behind Depot in Auckland, and Logan Brown executive chef Shaun Clouston.

Meanwhile, a new “festival quarter” will showcase a selection of Marlborough wines for tasting, accompanied by food stalls and live classical music.

Wine Marlborough general manager Marcus Pickens commented: “The introduction of the festival quarter will provide festival goers with a whole new experience in a more intimate setting and also an opportunity to sample the wines from some smaller boutique brands.”

The Marlborough Wine and Food Festival, now in its 29th year, is the country’s longest running festival. It will also feature wine seminars, live music and a fashion show to be judged by NZ’s leading fashion designers.

Up to 8,000 people are expected to attend the Marlborough Wine & Food Festival in 2013. Tickets cost $48 plus a $2 booking fee and can be purchased from Ticketek.

Visit the official Marlborough Wine & Food Festival website for more information.
