A Romantic Dinner in Auckland

There nothing quite as romantic as a meal at nice restaurant with a special someone. Here are a few restaurants that we like, some suggestions to help you in your quest to impress…

Situated in the Hilton Hotel, Fish is a celebration of the ocean’s bounty – seafood – and is the brainchild of New Zealand Masterchef Simon Gault. Its top notch cuisine, outstanding service, clean, minimalist décor and beautiful outlook make it a great choice for a romantic meal.

Located in the historical Foundation Building in George Street Parnell, Tribeca is lovely One of Auckland's finer establishments, it offers the consummate fine dining experience, combining quality dining with an ambience of timeless style and effortless elegance.

Clooney Restaurant

Clooney has been a hot ticket on the Auckland fine dining scene for some years now, so you are virtually guaranteed a charming evening with beautiful food, a romantic atmosphere and exceptional service.

Definitely the place to wine and dine. Peter Gordon's restaurant located in the Sky City Grand Hotel offers a very high standard of service and gorgeous food, plus it has one of the best wine lists in town – this one is a winner!

The French Cafe

The corresponding ideas of beautiful food and impeccable service are synonymous with three charming words in the minds of discerning Auckland diners: The French Café. The French Cafe offers contemporary European cuisine in a sophisticated and intimate environment. You'll definitely score top brownie points with this one.

Vinnies Restaurant

Vinnies has long had a reputation for exquisite food and is an ideal venue for a cosy dinner with your special someone. The perfect dining experience.

The Grove

The Grove has impressive credentials having been awarded the Supreme Winner in the Metro Restaurant of the Year Awards 2011. It boasts an exquisite menu of contemporary New Zealand cuisine, cooked using traditional French techniques and an extensive wine list. The Grove experience is definitely one to treasure and share with your significant other.

I think one of the nicest and most romantic restaurants would be a favourite of mine, The Beach House down at Bucklands Beach what better dining would you have when sitting with a glass of wine and with the person you love watching the boats go by in the crystal blue waters. Awesome
