Yep, it’s that time of year again. Many a beer has been glugged, small talk made and scores added up. Throughout October Guinness NZ asked Guinness drinkers all over the country to score their every pint and bartender, and the nation has spoken.
You’ve judged whether the bartender has poured your pint at the correct angle, you’ve checked the size of the head, its creamy texture and perfect start to the drink. As they’ve handed over your precious pint you’ve observed the spillage rate, diligently digested the wonderfully rich flavours and given your honest opinion on your drinking experience. It’s been hard work. You’ve had to double check a couple of times. Sometimes triple check… But it’s been worth it.
Your hard work will come to form at the Guinness PintMaster Regionals taking place mid November, in Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown and Auckland, with the final occurring in December at Auckland’s Classic Comedy Club. So as the preparations for the 2010 PintMaster regionals get underway, show your support for your local pub and see if your votes have taken effect.
Regionals will take place from 6-9pm:
Wellington: Chicago Bar, Jervois Quay on Tuesday 16th November.
Christchurch: The Craic Irish Bar, Riccarton on Wednesday 17th November.
Queenstown: Pog Mahones on Thursday 18th November.
Auckland: Claddagh Irish Pub, Newmarket on Monday 15th November.
The long awaited final will occur in Auckland on Wednesday 8th December at The Classic Comedy Club in Queen Street.
