For a great Easter weekend how about checking out the Waiheke International Jazz Festival? A three day event for all the family spread out across four venues on the Island, taking place from the 22 – 24 April 2011.
All venues will feature a superb array of live acts and dining facilities over Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April 2011.
A range of local food stalls will be scattered throughout the Island all day; expect baked goods, fresh produce, seafood and a steaming sausage sizzle. There will of course be Jazz inspired menus for lunch and dinner at The Bay, The Dunes and The Waiheke Island Resort. Each venue, including Rangihoua Olive Estate will be fully licensed for the weekend to fuel the festivities.
Set in the beautiful landscape of Waiheke, we can’t think of anywhere more perfect for appreciating fine music and food. There’s bound to be local wine on sale which is an incentive alone!
Live acts across the Easter weekend will include Caitlin Smith, Graham Wardrop, the Grand Central Band, Nairobi trio and may more Kiwi and international acts.
If you have Easter plans with extended family and friends but you still really want to experience Waiheke International Jazz Festival, never fear, there are a number of options for the weekend. From day or/and evening passes and tickets to one off shows, there’s something for everyone.
