Restaurants for Groups

Getting together for a meal with family or friends is great fun. There are lots of reasons to do so, but you don't really need a reason. of course. It's just good for the soul, sharing food, drink and conversation with people you like. Check out our list of restaurants around New Zealand that are good for groups

Lone Star Café and Bar

Along with their deliciously hearty dishes, Lone Star’s personalised service is one of the highlights of this country western themed eatery. Everything is done efficiently and with a smile, and you’ll feel like you’ve made a new friend.

Lone Star restaurants are scattered all over New Zealand.

Monsoon Poon

For adventurous groups that have no problem sampling the exotic flavours of India, South China, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia, Monsoon Poon is the restaurant for you. With its vibrant atmosphere, colourful décor and flavoursome dishes you’re guaranteed a great night out.

Monsoon Poon can only be found in Auckland and Wellington. They don’t take bookings during the week, but call ahead and they’ll suggest a suitable time to ensure your party is catered for.

If you are looking for a great restaurant for groups in Marlborough, then it is worthwhile checking out The Winery Riverlands - just outside Blenheim. This place has both inside and outdoor areas which are great for a long group lunch - plus they have a private lounge room for group dinners.
